Sree Thrippayya Thrimoorthi Temple
The only temple where Thrimoorthies are seen on one platform and in the same sreekovil with Shiva at the centre.
Location
Sree Thrippayya Thrimoorthi Temple is located at Nadavaramba, 2.5km south of Irinjalakuda Town on Thrissur - Kodungallur State Highway. Nadavaramba is a very beautiful and serene village famous from ancient times for its bell metal and handloom industries. The lake situated at the heart of Nadavaramba is probably the origin of the name of this temple 'Thrippayya' a derived form from ‘Thrippoy Ka’. ‘Thrippoy Ka’ means holy fresh water lake. The presence of Thrimoorthies in this temple is in the form of three infants. They can be called 'three sacred boys' for which the Malayalam equivalent is 'Thiruppayyanmar' modified to ‘Thiruppayya’ and subsequently to ‘Thrippayya’.
